Bill Schneider is a Senior Project Manager with GT Environmental, Inc. and has more than twenty-five years of experience with the implementation of environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs.  He has worked with EHS programs as a regulator, consultant and EHS Manager in manufacturing. 

Bill is a graduate of the Michigan State University (Bachelor of Science) and has performed graduate coursework at Wright State University.  He is a Masters Level Certified Hazardous Materials Manager and is an authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer for General Industry.

Bill began his career with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources in the NPDES program in 1980.  He also worked for the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) as a RCRA inspector, CERCLA site coordinator and non-point source pollution abatement specialist.  He left Ohio EPA to develop and manage the Ohio UST Corrective Action Program for the Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations.

During the past eighteen years, Bill has been a consultant and worked as an EHS Manager for two multinational corporations.  His experience includes the full range of environmental, health and safety regulatory programs that impact manufacturers, including air and waste water permitting, hazardous waste management, TRI, SPCC, storm water management, hazard communications, lockout/tag out, emergency procedures, forklift qualifications, electrical safety, machine guarding, ergonomics and hazard analysis.

Bill is current with the various certifications associated with his areas of expertise, including HAZWOPER, OSHA 501 train the trainer and Six Sigma (Green Belt).
