Mike Lutz joined GT Environmental, Inc.’s (GT) Westerville, Ohio office as a Project Geologist.  He has nine years of environmental consulting experience specializing in Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments (ESAs), storm water management and pollution prevention plans, SPCC plans, health and safety, subsurface investigations, storm water/wastewater/groundwater sampling and analysis, soil classification, and geotechnical testing.  Mike’s responsibilities include the development and implementation of ASTM and Ohio EPA Voluntary Action Program (VAP) Phase I ESAs, and VAP Phase II hydrogeologic investigations; the interpretation of analytical data; and the development of remedial investigation studies for the delineation/remediation of impacted soil, sediment, groundwater, and surface water.  

Mike specializes in a wide variety of sampling and field investigative technology with a strong ability to adapt and improvise in the field.  He is also intimately familiar with the Ohio EPA VAP, United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) Brownfield Grants, Clean Ohio Revitalization Fund (CORF), Clean Ohio Assistance Fund (COAF), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations (BUSTR), and Clean Water Act programs.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Cincinnati.  He is a Licensed Professional Geologist in the State of Indiana.
