Water Quality

GT prepares and reviews National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit applications for facilities with surface water discharges. GT also prepares Permit-to-Install applications for water treatment equipment and Indirect Discharge Permit applications for facilities that discharge waste water to a Publicily Owned Treatment Works (POTW).

Federal regulations require that some facilities prepare a plan to prevent spills and contamination to waterways. GT will determine and if necessary prepare Spill Prevention, Control and Counter Measures (SPCC) Plan and Storm Water Pollution Prevention (SWPP) Plan regulations are applicable to a facility. GT will assist clients with the evaluation, review and revision of existing SPCC/SWPP plans to assure continual compliance.
