Brownfields Redevelopment |
|
Brownfield sites are in almost every town – the abandoned factory, the out-of-business corner gas station, warehouses and old commercial facilities. They are eyesores, present health and safety hazards, and impede the vitality of a community or neighborhood.
GT assists clients with developing and implementing redevelopment strategies to bring brownfield sites back to beneficial reuse. These strategies typically include using state and federal brownfield assessment and cleanup grants to provide the necessary gap financing for redevelopment of impaired commercial and industrial properties.
GT professionals have successfully obtained over $13,000,000 in federal and state funding to assess and clean up brownfield sites for 18 communities in Ohio, Indiana, and West Virginia. With the use of the funds, GT has assisted our clients in the assessment, design, and cleanup of properties necessary to clear the path for redevelopment and revitalization.
