Company History

GT Environmental, Inc. (GT) was founded on November 1, 1995.  Michael Greenberg and Chuck Taylor established GT after successful careers at the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and several distinguished national environmental consulting firms.  GT was founded to provide reliable, high quality environmental consulting services to business and government.  GT’s first clients include Smithers Oasis Company, U.S.A. and the Lorain County Solid Waste Management District, both are still clients today.

GT has experienced measured growth each year since its inception.  The list of GT clients continues to expand and includes “Fortune 500” firms, many small and medium size companies, as well as numerous municipal and county government clients.  GT has provided environmental consulting services to clients for facilities in Alaska, California, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Ontario, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.

GT continues to expand our capabilities.  Currently, GT provides industrial clients with air, water and waste management services.  GT performs a full range of services for municipal and county governments, including feasibility studies and project management.  GT also provides due-diligence environmental regulatory assessments.

GT’s Westerville location (immediately north of Columbus) allows GT staff to provide cost-effective services to clients throughout Ohio.  It also provides for opportunities for senior staff to regularly participate at meetings with Ohio EPA and other organizations that are headquartered in Columbus.

In July 2004, GT opened a second office in Akron, Ohio.
